Accrediting Master Coaches

PDF.Net has worked with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC) to establish an internationally recognised advanced credential for business coaches.
This was developed and piloted with a group of 50 leading business coaches around the World. It has now been launched and is being offered globally to experienced business coaches.
Please read more about the CMBC on the WABC website

PDF.Net was also a lead advisor to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). We devised the EMCC quality award for coaching and worked with EMCC to produce the recognised coaching competency framework. We train EMCC assessors.
In addition we offer EMCC Master Coach Accreditation for experienced coaches from a range of coaching fields and with a range of coaching backgrounds.

Researching the Field of Coaching

PDF.Net has conducted a number of research projects in the field of coaching. The most recent and best known is “The Case for Coaching” a research project sponsored by the CIPD and published in book form. Here is a synopsis of the book:
"If you are asking someone to spend money on coaching shouldn't you be able to prove they will get a return on that investment?
Whether you are a coach selling your services or an in-house manager in charge of your organisation's coaching programme, you need to have an answer when the Finance Director asks: Is all this money we are investing in coaching worth it?
Coaching is an expensive development option and it isn't appropriate in every circumstance. You will have a lot more credibility if you can make a business case for investment, based on sound research data, that sets out where, and how, coaching will work and what the return will be on that investment.
To help you make the case for coaching the CIPD have trawled through all of the research on coaching. We can tell you when it's effective and when it's not. We can tell you what the benefits are for the individual and what they are for the organisation. We can tell you what you need to do to make it work and what not to do."

Establish and Support International Initiatives
PDF.Net has been a leader on the international stage, developing the field of coaching.
Our work with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches WABC and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) has been described more under Master Coach Accreditation (link).
Additionally we have been involved with the establishment of the Global Convention of Coaching (GCC) This is a non-partisan, non-profit forum which seeks to bring together all coaching stakeholders (consumers, practitioners, educators and industry bodies), so that together we might envisage the future of coaching. PDF.Net is represented on the GCC steering committee.

The GCC was launched in New York in 2007 and is building towards the first Global Convention, in Dublin in July 2008. Visit the GCC website to find out more.
